Since qualifying in 1991 at UCE Birmingham, Julie Widdowson has worked on many and varied projects ranging from the small to the very large, from conservation to ultra-modern.
Julie's experience in designing projects both in the public and private sector, spanning over 25years, gives her a diverse and unique perspective on the value of good architectural design. Having previously worked for a number of Local Authorities as well as private practices, including Aedas, Julie has naturally moved to form her own practice alongside Co-director Peter Frith.
Julie hopes that this new direction in her career will enrich and develop those aspirations of affordable design quality. Aspirations that she continues to share with tomorrow's generation of designers in her tutoring work for the Birmingham School of Architecture.
As a BSOA student herself in the mid 1980's, she feels that it's important to continue the tradition of student to teacher for the establishment that gave her the first real insights and understanding of Architecture and Design.
